MRT, Inc. was formed in 2006 by Jay T. Selby and David L. Poe with the goal of becoming more than just a commodity machine shop. In December of 2008, MRT purchased the longstanding EL Epperson Co, located in Middletown, OH, in order to expand their capabilities and increase their capacity.  The combined resources and knowledge of MRT, Inc. represents over 80 years of experience in the industry. MRT’s capability, dependability and service set them apart from their competition and have placed them in a position of preference with their customers. 

MRT, Inc. is in the business of machining, fabricating and repairing manufacturing components. Their primary activity is the machining of rolls used for the rolling of steel, paper and aggregate materials. The reason for their longevity is their reputation for providing a wide range of services that meet specifications, providing on-time delivery and doing all this at competitive pricing.

Mr. Selby is the President and is responsible for the management of sales and customer service. He is a sales professional specializing in the development of long term client relationships at high level “Fortune 500” organizations. Mr. Selby’s background and connections will help MRT achieve new levels of relationships with a board range of new markets and customers for their future growth. 

Mr. Poe is Vice President and is responsible for the day to day management of the company including production, administrative and financial operations. Mr. Poe has extensive background in industrial welding and machining industries. His most recent work experience was with 3D Industries where he worked 10 years as Chief Executive Officer. His responsibilities there included administrative, production and sales management for the company he founded in 1994.
